This hitch is confirmed to fit your 2022 Lexus RX 350 and it does require some minor trimming of the lower portion of the rear trim. You are going to need a trailer wiring harness that requires a separate connection to the vehicle battery, # 118478. The purpose of the power wire is to actually power the trailer lights. This adds another layer of circuit protection between the trailer wiring and vehicle wiring. The wiring on the vehicle is not designed for the extra load of the trailer lights and could damage the vehicle wiring; something you do not want to happen.
